He has to find a Christmas Tree for the play.But then he feels so dedicated that he does not choose a big artificial tree as he was instructed to find. He finds a small tiny tree which is a real tree. Everybody starts laughing at him except Linus. Linus recites the story of the birth of Jesus, from gospel of Luk.
After listen to the story the participants of the play think that they were too harsh on Charlie Brown. They put up the tree and decorate it beautifully with the help of Snoopy's wonderful decorations. They become good friends and stand together, which is the basic Christmas spirit.
