Bad Santa

Bad Santa (2003) is very emotional movie of the real world of Santa Claus by Terry Zwigoff. It is a black comedy where the director wants to show the inside story of the people who acted Santa Claus in the departmental stores. But unfortunately the film did not go well in the cinema halls. The Protagonist, Billy Bob Thornton who played the role of Willie Stoke, a man who is living on the little earning by working in department stores as a Santa Claus. But he basically just the opposite character of Santa Claus. He is drunker even when he is on the job. He makes foul mouth in front of the children. He even practice unorthodox sexual harassment with the bulgy women. He finds a new job in a store called Phoenix

The store- manager Bob Chipesca (played by John Ritter), cannot fire him as Marcus, a black midget who is also Willie’s partner and best friend cannot be replaced. This will bring him bad publicity. The Security man of the department store, Gin (played by Bernie Mac), came to know that Willie and Marcus have the criminal records of robbing department stores on Christmas using their disguise. Then Gin want the share from the robbery.

In the mean time Willy meets his love Sue (played by Lauren Graham), a barmaid and a parentless 8-year old boy (played by Brett Kelly) who finds a father like fondness in Willie and invites him into his luxurious home.

The concept of the film is unusual and unique. It has good performances from almost every actors. But the ending of the film becomes very cliché like other Hollywood films. Where Willy changed by the his love and the young friend. So the anding was a very routine job which is very predictable.
