Synopsis
In this movie, Bill Murray is playing Phil Connors, an egoistic, arrogant, insufferable weatherman of Pittsburgh TV. He was assigned for covering the Annual Groundhog Day in 2nd February in Punxsutawney with his producer Rita and the cameraman Larry. He hated the whole thing and kept on continuously insulting his crew members.

After the celebration a snowstorm develops which makes him stay an extra day at Punxsutawney. Connors wakes up the next day to the song, Sonny & Cher's 'I Got You Babe' on his alarm clock radio at 6:00 am but with his great surprise the date is 2nd February. The Groundhog Day keeps coming into his life again and again with the same order. This entrapment is unfolding new events in his life. He tries to commit suicide but when he wakes up it is again 2nd February.
Trapped in the cycle, Connors eventually learns many things. He becomes an understanding and generous human being at heart. He confesses his true love to Rita which she accepts. Finally, he gets up on the 3rd of February.
Groundhog Day is a pleasant movie with light-hearted romance in the wrapper of comedy. Though there are several repeat performances, Murray and other actors make it enjoyable. Though the ending is an expected one yet the movie is a likable one. Christmas.dgreetings.com will give you more details of Christmas movies. So, keep reading!
