The Star of Christmas

The Star of Christmas is a Christmas classic. You will find the true colors of the Christmas– red and green in this movie. The two main characters of The Star of Christmas are- Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber (a.k.a. Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki) assume the role of aspiring playwrights Cavis (Bob) Appythart and Millward (Larry) Phelps. The movie is basically an animated Veggie Tales: The Star of Christmas.

Bob and Larry tired of writing jingles for dental wax, the floss advocates decide to make a musical so impressive, it will teach all of London how to love. So they are determined to perform a play in Millward's uncle's theater. They started production on The Princess and the Plumber by securing a leading lady and the opening night attendance of the Prince.

Their production was going well until Bob stumbles across another performance also debuting on Christmas Eve. Children of nearby St. Bart's church are planning a nativity play for the same evening, and they are planning to promote it like the Star of Christmas.

Horrified by the disastrous turn of events, the desperate Bob and Larry try everything from adding more lights and glitz, to succumbing to devious devices in order to insure the show will go on. Blinded by ambition, the pair of vegetables lost their Christmas spirit from their heart. Their on to the prospective of the show but their dream has hardly any trace on the show.

According to the viewers The Star of Christmas is not the best Veggie Tales but worthy to watch. The movie tells the true meaning of Christmas. When Bob and Larry try to teach London to love through a giant musical production, they are in turn taught the true meaning by a preacher and his son.
