Christmas Poinsettia

Christmas Poinsettia is a crimson flower that was brought to Mexico by Joel R. Poinsett in the early 19th century from USA, its indigenously native country. Poinsett was overly enamored by the bright hue of the flowers that opened wide with large pointed petals. Also, the noticeable shape of the flowers that wrapped the massive bunch of dark green leaves attracted Poinsett to a large extent. Because of this initiation of Poinsett, the flower received its name as Christmas Poinsettia and was happily welcomed by the people of Mexico. Since then, the eminence of the flower mounted and the flower very soon made its mention in various popular folklores.

According to a Christmas fable of Mexico, there was a little girl who was poverty-stricken. Because of her social conditions, she could not afford a wonderful gift for Jesus Christ. As she was roaming around in grief, she encountered an angel who advised her to pluck any of the surrounding weeds. When she moved to pluck one of the wild plants, a supernatural phenomenon happened due to which the entire structure and formation of the plant was metamorphosed. From an unwanted plant, it turned into an elegant and prosperous flower and came to be referred as the Poinsettia of Christmas. The poor girl was overwhelmed by the sudden magic and went straight away to the Bethlehem to honor it with the acceptance of Christ.

Just like many other plants the Poinsettia of Christmas also holds a very special place in the Christian beliefs. All these holy plants are known to have sprung up from the wild, barren and infertile places. And the factor, which figured them, was their profound aspiration to have a glimpse of the divine Christ in the human form. Therefore, Christmas decorations without the beautiful Christmas Poinsettia are unimaginable. Just like a Christmas tree, which appears to be chunky with its attractive leaves, Christmas Poinsettia promotes a very similar charm. However, it takes time to pretty up our Christmas trees with red ribbons and gaudy red flowers but when it comes to the decoration of Poinsettia, one doesn’t have to put in lots of embellishments. Poinsettia is naturally endowed with the enchanting Christmas colors and one only needs to highlight them.

The most viable method of making it an object of decoration includes its positioning at the innermost part of the house or a place where it can easily arrest the attention of everyone. They are supposed to be placed in spacious areas where they get appropriate conditions to flourish and survive. The Poinsettia of Christmas can be kept in a pot, which matches with the color of the attractive flowers. Not only do they enhance the beauty of the house, but they also refresh the whole house. So, bring them into your house and beef it up.
