Philippine Christmas traditions are one of the most famous Christmas traditions in Asia, the Philippines celebrate Christmas with a lot of pomp and show. However the official day for the beginning of the Christmas holidays is on the 16th of December in the Republic of the Philippines. This marks the beginning of the 'Misas de Aguinaldo', also known as 'Gift Masses'. Such masses continue for nice days in a row and start from very early in the morning. This Christmas mass is very important to the Christians in the Philippines and devout Christians display their faith by going for mass at the crack of dawn and praying to Jesus Christ the Son of God.

On Christmas Eve, on the 24th of December it is a part of Philippine Christmas tradition to celebrate 'la Misa de Gallo' which is the 'Mass of the Rooster'. This marks the end of the early morning masses and the beginning of Christmas Day which is on the following day.

One of the most integral parts of the Philippine Christmas tradition is the La Noche Buena which is the Christmas feast. The main attraction of this elaborate Filipino Christmas feast is the big ball of cheese and the succulent Christmas Ham. In many parts of the Philippines children roam around the streets singing Christmas carols and making merry.
